Service(s) description | Techbridge Girls' programs offer the following programs and services: - Weekly after-school program supporting a diverse group of girls from low socioeconomic backgrounds and/or low academic performance with hands-on science and technology projects, career exploration activities, and leadership/teamwork development opportunities - Support from a Techbridge Program Coordinator to develop curriculum, help plan activities, teach, provide materials and supplies, and coordinate field trips and role model visits - Use of Techbridge's nationally-recognized hands-on curriculum adapted and field- tested successfully for girls - At least one Career Exploration site visit to a science, technology, or engineering work sitee and visits by role models to expand girls’ career options - Ongoing trainings provided to teachers - Two family night events and outreach to families through newsletters and resources sent home - Access to summer programs and internship and scholarship opportunities for students - Annual evaluation study, both quantitative and qualitative, demonstrating program outcomes |
