Program Description | P.E.A.C.E. is a collaborative program of EBAC staff, community members, parents, teachers, and administrators. Together, we provide educational and family support services at Peralta Elementary School. The program vision is "every student's spark is kindled, nurtured and encouraged to radiate." The program mission: P.E.A.C.E. recognizes a child’s individual need and attributes; understands the need for active involvement; promotes cultural sensitivity and awareness; encourages participation, cooperation and creativity expression; and strengthens academic skills.
The afterschool program provides students both academic and enrichment programming. The goal of the academic support component is to create an environment where students can have fun learning and see themselves as successful learners. The goal of the enrichment component is to expose students to a variety of classes, opportunities and to support their individual interests. Some examples of the enrichment offerings are: Arts & Crafts, Chorus, Science, Illustrations, Chess, Dance, Recreation, Karate, Gardening and Cooking.
