| Program Description | Since 2000, TechniClinic has been providing high quality, youth-friendly services that include medical care, reproductive health, sports physicals, immunizations and management of acute and chronic conditions to Oakland Technical High School students. TechniClinic also serves students enrolled at nearby Oakland International High School and recent graduates from both schools up to the age of 21. In addition, TechniClinic provides individual and group counseling, and case management services. Patients are seen by a clinical health educator who conducts one-on-one appointments that cover issues such as sexual health, birth control, and nutrition. The health educator conducts classroom presentations and coordinates a Peer Health Education Group and helps students develop presentation and leadership skills. TechniClinic is passionate about improving the health and wellness of the students in the school community.
