Organization Description
Service(s) description | Our services include: academic, career and personal advising, assistance with college admissions and financial aid process, monthly seminars, college campus visits, educational/career/cultural field trips, access to computer lab, tutorial services, referrals to other community services. We also offer a five-week summer academic enrichment program for incoming 6th-12th graders, offering 3 courses including: Math, English, and science skills instruction, SAT Prep course, College Prep, Life Skills, Science, Career Exploration, Financial Literacy, and Social/Cultural Workshops, Recreational Activities including Educational and Cultural Field Trips. |
Program impact | TRIO participants are more likely to enroll in postsecondary education programs, apply for financial assistance, complete college degrees, accrue more college credits and earn higher grade point averages. Participation in a TRIO program has a significant impact on the educational outcomes of low-income, first-generation students and students with disabilities. |
