Organization Description

Service(s) descriptionOur services include: academic, career and personal advising, assistance with college admissions and financial aid process, monthly seminars, college campus visits, educational/career/cultural field trips, access to computer lab, tutorial services, referrals to other community services. We also offer a five-week summer academic enrichment program for incoming 6th-12th graders, offering 3 courses including: Math, English, and science skills instruction, SAT Prep course, College Prep, Life Skills, Science, Career Exploration, Financial Literacy, and Social/Cultural Workshops, Recreational Activities including Educational and Cultural Field Trips.
Program impactTRIO participants are more likely to enroll in postsecondary education programs, apply for financial assistance, complete college degrees, accrue more college credits and earn higher grade point averages. Participation in a TRIO program has a significant impact on the educational outcomes of low-income, first-generation students and students with disabilities.
