| Service(s) description | I teach students about a variety of artists, artistic styles, and methods for creating art. I help students develop their executive function through project planning. Students use academic skills in an integrated manner which increases their understanding of how "school" and the "real world" are connected and not isolated. |
| Program impact | Depending on the student the impact varies. Some students have participated in multiple classes I have taught, they have moved on to taking art classes in other venues and from other instructors. Some have used skills learned in my classes in their formal academic lives ( students who used the book binding skills I taught to write books for a class project, using sewing skills to create costumes for a class play). |
