Organization Description
Service(s) description | Support groups for elementary schools that support the social and emotional development of children with incarcerated parents. |
Program impact | Avary groups provide children with a safe and supportive group to connect with other children who are experiencing parental incarceration. Groups are fun and engaging, and also give children a space to work through the emotional impact of parental separation. Children experience social-emotional growth that translates into increased engagement in the classroom and improved behavioral outcomes. |
