| Service(s) description | We provide Social Emotional Learning (SEL) workshops for elementary and middle schools. We work with each grade individually to provide the most relevant and age appropriate tools and skills to help students communicate more effectively around their feelings and needs. We also work with parents and teachers to help them embody the SEL tools and support their students. |
| Program impact | Our program immerses school communities in the five standard SEL competencies (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making), giving them the tools they need to create a climate of safety and empathy. Our grade level workshops teach students a common language and set of skills, and most importantly, offer ample opportunities to practice applying these techniques in a wide range of situations. After learning and embodying these skills, students are prepared to address conflict, mange their emotions, and communicate in healthy ways when issues arise. |
