| Service(s) description | Heart in Balance provides individual child, adolescent and adult therapy, family therapy, and couple's therapy to the community of the East Bay. Included in this Heart in Balance has been contracted for 3 years with Peralta Elementary School in Oakland providing individual and group therapy to their students, meet with parents and provide consultation to teachers and staff. |
| Program impact | Our program improves the emotional, social and familial aspects of the students at the schools, where we provide mental health services. We do such by providing both individual and group time for the students, in order to explore their relationship between their emotional and mental states. They develop better coping, interpersonal and affect regulation skills. Improvement in their emotional/mental state will have a positive impact on their behavior and academic success at school. |
