| Service(s) description | I teach children of all ages to play the piano, read music and learn many styles of music including folk songs, classical, jazz, popular, blues. Children also have the opportunity to play music mind games which help them to learn the theory. They will also learn to improvise and create their own compositions. I provide opportunities for the students to perform for friends and family twice a year. |
| Program impact | My program enables children to learn to play and enjoy music. Developing these qualities can lead to an enjoyment and appreciation of music for a lifetime. Learning music requires cognitive skills as well as self control to develop a regular practice routine. It can be an emotional outlet, and enhances beauty with the understanding of the emotional and spiritual components of music. |
