| Service(s) description | Mandela Partners runs weekly, pop-up produce stands at OUSD schools. Our stands offer fresh and affordable fruits, vegetables and staple pantry items in a convenient and friendly atmosphere. Through the FreshCreds program we offer a 50% discount on all items sold at our produce stand to CalFresh customers. Our community nutrition educator offers taste tests and other educational activities for students. |
| Program impact | We increase access to fresh, healthy produce for the school community, while at the same time, offering a weekly space for parents, teachers, staff and students to interact outside the classroom. In partnerships with school administrators, teachers and Wellness Champions, we offer nutrition education. |
