Service(s) description | Scientific Adventures for Girls (SAFG), a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, provides after school and summer STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs to young children with a special focus on girls and under served youth. We offer 10-27 week after school session on school sites (meeting once a week), weekly STEM summer camps and STEM drop-in summer library programs at a variety of Oakland libraries in collaboration with the Lawrence Hall of Science at UC Berkeley. |
Program impact | Since its inception in 2014, SAfG has reached 771 unique girls in the East Bay in its after-school programs (over 1700 non-unique - meaning many girls took our classes 2, 3 and 4+ times). |
