Organization Description
Service(s) description | Summer Search is a national non-profit organization that believes our students have the power to be leaders for their communities. We help them achieve that by empowering them with transformative summer experiences (fully-funded), pairing them with professional mentors, and giving them the college access and success resources they need to thrive. We recruit low-income high school sophomores who demonstrate leadership potential in the classroom and stay with students through college. |
Program impact | Last year, 98% of students in our high school program qualified for free or reduced lunch and 92% will be first in their families to go to college. Of our graduating senior class, 90% were accepted to college. In our college success program, 63% of students are earning a bachelor's degree in six years, compared to 10% of their low-income peers. |
