| Program Description | Summer Programs provide students K-12 with academic intervention and enrichment services. The transition services component focuses on supporting incoming 6th-8th graders through student and family educational workshops, and summer bridge programs. Safe Passages serves 1,000 students grades K-12 annually in schools across Oakland. Our goal is to improve academic achievement, mitigate summer learning loss. Provide a range of project-based Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) opportunities, and language arts programs. Prepare students for transition into middle school and high school. Familiarize new families to school environment, culture, expectations, and support systems. |
