Program DescriptionThis program, funded by Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services, hires youth at three Oakland high schools to be health educators for their peers, focusing on mental health, substance use, and sexual health. By serving as support people for their classmates, and visibly demonstrating their role via branded apparel, the youth will work against stigma in their school community.
